The app allows you to import dives from popular Shearwater dive computers such as Petrel, Perdix, Nerd, Teric, enabling you to easily access and analyze your diving data. Additionally, Deep Tools can serve as a valuable learning aid for diving courses.

Some of the useful tools included in the app are Maximum Operating Depth (MOD), Oxygen Partial Pressure (ppO2), Equivalent Air Depth (EAD), Equivalent Narcotic Depth (END), Equivalent Air Density Depth (EADD). It also calculates the Best Nitrox & Trimix for different depths, Respiratory Minute Volume (RMV), and Surface Air Consumption (SAC).

The Dive Log feature allows you to import dives from Shearwater dive computers and add details such as the dive site's location with coordinates and custom tags. You can also merge dives with short surface intervals, share dives with others, and create local backups or migrate data to another device.

The Dive Planner in Deep Tools is versatile and can be used for both Open Circuit (OC) and Rebreather (CCR) dives. It allows you to plan repetitive dives, calculate gas consumption, CNS, OTU, and displays graphic profiles, text plans, pressure graphs, and slate views. It even supports lost gas plans and enables you to share dive plans with friends or print SLATE PLAN on a Bixolon thermal printer.

Another notable feature is the Blender for Partial Pressure Gas Blending (Trimix), which enables you to mix gases to your desired specifications efficiently.

Deep Tools also provides the flexibility to customize settings, supporting both metric and imperial units, adjustable altitude and water type options (EN13319, Salt, Fresh), and the ability to create a personalized tank/cylinder database.

It is worth mentioning that some features, as indicated by an asterisk, are only available with a subscription or during a free trial period. The Deep Tools Subscription is priced at $1.99/month or $8.99/year and can be managed through your iTunes Account.
